Modern Slavery Statement

1. Commitment

Rixent is committed to conducting business responsibly and to preventing modern slavery and human trafficking in all its forms. We recognise that slavery, servitude, forced or compulsory labour, and exploitation remain global issues. As a governance, risk, and compliance advisory firm, we believe we have a responsibility not only to comply with applicable laws but also to lead by example in promoting ethical practices throughout our operations and professional networks.

2. Legal Framework

Although Rixent is not legally required under the UK Modern Slavery Act 2015 due to our current size and registration outside the UK, we voluntarily adopt the principles set out in the Act. We also align our practices with international conventions, including the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights. This reflects our commitment to integrity, ethical governance, and sustainable business conduct across all regions where we operate.

3. Our Business and Supply Chains

Rixent provides professional risk advisory, governance, and business continuity consulting services. We do not manufacture goods or operate in high-risk labour sectors. Our supply chains are limited and primarily consist of professional services, technology providers, and business support functions.

Despite the low-risk nature of our sector, we recognise that modern slavery can occur at any level of global supply chains. Accordingly, we apply proportionate due diligence to suppliers, partners, and associates to ensure that they share our commitment to ethical labour standards.

4. Due Diligence and Risk Management

To mitigate the risk of modern slavery:

  • We assess new suppliers for ethical practices and compliance with labour standards.
  • We expect all suppliers and contractors to operate in full compliance with applicable labour laws.
  • We reserve the right to terminate relationships with any supplier found to be complicit in modern slavery or human trafficking.
  • We integrate ethical considerations into our broader enterprise risk management and governance frameworks.

5. Training and Awareness

We raise awareness among our staff and associates about the risks of modern slavery and the importance of ethical procurement and business relationships. Our leadership team ensures that Rixent’s culture promotes transparency, accountability, and respect for human rights.

6. Reporting Concerns

Rixent encourages employees, contractors, and stakeholders to report any concerns related to potential modern slavery or unethical practices. Reports can be made confidentially, and we will investigate and take appropriate action in every case.

7. Continuous Improvement

We recognise that addressing modern slavery is an ongoing responsibility. Rixent reviews this statement annually and considers ways to strengthen our due diligence, monitoring, and engagement with suppliers.

8. Approval and Review

This statement has been prepared voluntarily as part of Rixent’s commitment to responsible business conduct. It has been reviewed and approved by the leadership of eKnols LLC (United States), trading internationally as Rixent.
